• The kitchen should not be below the puja room.

• The platform of the kitchen is made in the South-West(Agni-Kon) direction.
• In the South-West corner of the kitchen, keep the gas burner or stove. Make sure that the stove is away from the wall.
• For the microwave-ovens, mixers and grinders in the kitchen use the wall on the South direction.
• To install the sink or the wash basin, use the West or the North-East wall in the kitchen.
• To keep the drinking water and the utensils used for drinking water, you must use North-East or the North direction.
• The containers of grains, lentils, spices, salt etc should be kept in the South or the West direction.
• In the kitchen keep light things in the West or the North direction.
• While preparing the food the cook must face towards the East, this ensures the good health of the family members.
• Use yellow, orange, pink, chocolate or red colours should be used in the floors and walls of the kitchen.
• You should keep the bridge in the South-East, South, or the West direction in the kitchen.

• If the kitchen is in the North (the direction of Lord Kuber, the Lord of wealth), then it takes the family’s spending beyond their expectations and control.
• Avoid black colour for the floor and walls of the kitchen.
• The cook should never face the West direction. Because in this situation, a lot of guests keep coming at your house which leads to the food always being prepared in the kitchen.
